Am I overtraining? Read training load and recovery from Apple Watch
Too much training shows up first in recovery, not in the workout log. This prompt reads both side by side over two months and asks which weeks crossed the line.
Reviewed
Using the telo connector, look at my training load and my recovery signals side by side over the last two months and tell me whether I am doing too much, too little, or about right. Be specific about which weeks, and say what you would change next week.
telo read workouts and resting heart rate, 8 weeks
Weeks 5 and 6 carried 410 and 440 active minutes, against 250 to 300 in the other six. Resting heart rate rose to 56 in week 6, 4 above its usual 52.
Example records, not yours. Your answer reads your own history.
What it reads
- Workouts from the last two months, with duration and heart rate zones
- Resting heart rate and heart rate variability by day
- Sleep sessions over the same weeks
Where the answer can go wrong
Training load here is built from active minutes and heart rate zones, not from power or pace, so it is not the TSS a cycling or running platform shows. Walking is left out unless you ask for it. The answer can say a week is heavy for you; it cannot diagnose overtraining syndrome, which needs a clinician.
Can I do this without telo?
You can export Apple Health from the Health app and upload part of it, but an export is a snapshot of one day, and the full XML is usually too large for a chat to read whole. The prompt still works as a checklist of what to look at. telo keeps the history synced so the assistant reads it directly.
