Check your recovery today with Apple Watch HRV and resting heart rate

A recovery number means little against a population chart. This prompt compares today with your own last thirty days, one line per signal, with no advice attached.

Using the telo connector, show me where my recovery signals sit right now against my own last thirty days, not against a population. Resting heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, and last night's sleep. One line each, no advice.

telo read 4 signals, 30 days

All four sit inside their own 30-day ranges. HRV is the closest to the bottom, at 41 against 38 to 56, and that range was built from 21 days, not 30.

Resting heart rate
53 bpm
HRV
41 ms

Range from 21 of 30 days

Respiratory rate
14.6
Last night's sleep
7.1 h

Example records, not yours. Your answer reads your own history.

What it reads

  • Resting heart rate and heart rate variability over the last thirty days
  • Respiratory rate during sleep
  • Last night's sleep session

Where the answer can go wrong

Apple Health stores heart rate variability as SDNN from a few readings a day, so it is not comparable with the rMSSD that Whoop, Oura or Garmin show. Respiratory rate is only measured during sleep with the watch on. A baseline needs most of the thirty days worn; ask how many days it was built from.

Can I do this without telo?

You can export Apple Health from the Health app and upload part of it, but an export is a snapshot of one day, and the full XML is usually too large for a chat to read whole. The prompt still works as a checklist of what to look at. telo keeps the history synced so the assistant reads it directly.
