How to install the telo plugin
Installing from the directory does not require creating a custom MCP server. Installing the plugin does not complete your iPhone sync or grant early access to telo.
- Finish telo setup on your iPhone, allow the Apple Health categories you want and wait for the sync. If you do not have telo access yet, join the waitlist.
- Open the plugin page using the Install in ChatGPT button in this guide. Sign in to ChatGPT and follow the installation and connection prompts.
- On the telo authorisation screen, sign in with the same email you use on your iPhone, review the permissions and approve access.
- Return to your ChatGPT conversation, select or enable telo and ask it to list your available metrics and date ranges.
ChatGPT Health availability
The current Health documentation lists eligible US users and says rollout is gradual. Connecting Apple Health requires an iPhone. Having the ChatGPT app in Brazil does not by itself provide the native Health connection.
If you are eligible, follow the native Health setup in ChatGPT. You do not need telo to use that native integration.
What is different about the MCP route?
With telo, the iPhone syncs authorised records to the telo service. ChatGPT requests them through a connection you approve. This is separate from ChatGPT Health and does not unlock its native features.
For manual setup, custom MCP availability depends on your plan and workspace settings. Check the current custom MCP documentation before starting. Do not assume that access to Health or a paid subscription automatically includes custom MCP.

Can I just upload an exported file?
If your account supports uploads, you can work with an export that fits ChatGPT’s file limits. That is a snapshot, not a sync. Review the contents before uploading and do not assume that a large file or a full XML export will be processed correctly.
Do ChatGPT Health privacy rules also apply to MCP?
